The History of Glenwood Telephone Company

THE FUTURE

The future of Glenwood Telephone Company looks bright, as we continue to improve our infastructure pushing fiber closer and closer to the

end user.

Janice O’Brien continues to work with Economic Development in the area, hoping to entice businesses into our area. With 99.9% of all our

infastructure underground we are already a step ahead of the big boys. We connect with fiber to Bellsouth, Windstream, and Progressive

Rural. We are already at the border of Plant Telephone waiting for them to meet us.

We continue to look at our options when it comes to expanding our service area, however due to regulations and the expensive costs of filing

CLEC we are not sure this is the way to go. We continue to look forward to newer technologies and keep abrest of changes in the

marketplace. We are not a company that is an early adopter of technology. Instead Glenwood Telephone Company looks for stable technology.

In the future we continue to look towards getting fiber closer to our telephone customers homes, eventually reaching them with a true

FTTH/FTTC connection. We continue to try to bring down the costs of bandwith to rural Georgia, and therefore our customers. We look

forward to the day when we can provide voice, video, and data to our customers, even expanding our coverage area to meet the needs of

the area and provide as many people as we can the REALSERVICE & REAL SUPPORT they so truely desire.
